With a culture of understanding and respect for the society and the environment we support sustainable tourism by employing environmentally friendly practices while giving back to the local community.

SOCIETY

We are continuously looking for ways to actively support and revitalize our community.

We enhance the living standards, and give back to the society as a whole. These are some examples of how we try to give back to the community:
- Reducing unnecessary food waste by donating our food surplus to “Boroume”, a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce food waste and to fight malnutrition in Greece.
- Sourcing locally. We support local producers and small family-businesses for our supplies.
- Encouraging our guests to visit small, family-run, local businesses for their shopping and entertainment.

We always strive to minimize our environmental footprint by investing in practices that preserve and protect the environment.

Here are some of the practices that we currently follow: - Operating on a policy of “no single-use plastic”
- Using refillable dispensers instead of single-use bottles for our toiletries
- Reducing waste by recycling
- Using low-energy LED lights
- Adapting a paperless policy (check-in process, digital in-room information etc.)

We donate part of our profits to support the Community Based Organization (CBO) “Routes for Good” based in Northern Kenya.

To enhance its mission to promote responsible, sustainable, and authentic community-based tourism by empowering the local community through various actions in the remote area of Samburu.
